The Desert Pride Cup Makes Its LA Debut!

Get excited for the 6th Annual WHSC Desert Pride Cup! After five incredible years in the desert, one of WHSC’s signature events is heading to Los Angeles for the very first time!

Our one-day, all-gender 7v7 tournament brings together teams and players from across the country for a day of competitive soccer, community, camaraderie and Pride. As we celebrate six years of the Desert Pride Cup, we’re ready to make 2026 our biggest and best tournament yet!

📍 Gol Soccer Complex (11501 Strathern Street, North Hollywood, CA 91605)

Teams: 13 players max. per team, 16 teams max.

Tournament Format: Group-stage play followed by knockout rounds—play your way through the field for a chance to be crowned 2026 Desert Pride Cup Los Angeles Champions! 🏆

Food/Drink: Available for purchase throughout the day.

Spectators/Pets: Spectators are welcome, pets are not allowed at the facility.

Mission & Purpose

Women and non-binary players often leave organized sport earlier in adulthood than their male counterparts. Fewer leagues, fewer teams & fewer dedicated spaces mean many talented athletes lose access to the women’s game.

The Play With Pride Cup exists to change that.

Our mission is to celebrate, empower, and sustain participation in soccer by creating a space dedicated to serving women/non-binary players—one that is fun, welcoming & community-centered.

By providing dedicated playing opportunities, we help ensure athletes can continue enjoying the game without the barriers that often exist in mixed-gender spaces.

This year’s Play with Pride Cup was our biggest and best yet! Over 100 women’s/non-binary players came together to play & celebrate the game- it was a day filled with great soccer, great representation from across the women’s/non-binary and LGBTQ+ communities and immaculate vibes!

Shout out to our WHSC Rockets (this year’s runner ups) & WHSC Cosmos for taking 3rd place & our big raffle winners (Jessie Wymer, Jess Baxter & Carly Roberts) who took home Angel City FC tickets, tournament merch, swag from Fruit Riot, beer & swag from Hurray’s Girl Beer and a roll of RockTape!
