Annual Women’s/Non-Binary, 1-day, 7v7 tournament

Mission & Purpose

Women and non-binary players often leave organized sport earlier in adulthood than their male counterparts. Fewer leagues, fewer teams & fewer dedicated spaces mean many talented athletes lose access to the women’s game.

The Play With Pride Cup exists to change that.

Our mission is to celebrate, empower, and sustain participation in soccer by creating a space dedicated to serving women/non-binary players—one that is fun, welcoming & community-centered.

By providing dedicated playing opportunities, we help ensure athletes can continue enjoying the game without the barriers that often exist in mixed-gender spaces.

 

Date/Time: Saturday, May 23, 2026 (9AM-5PM)

Location: Exact fields TBC (Los Angeles, CA) 

Teams: 13 players max. per team, 8-10 teams overall. All teams will be guaranteed a min. of 4 games (group stage play); max. of 6 games for teams that make the finals.  

Prizes: $1k Cash Prize for 1st Place; free swag, snacks, drinks for all participants

After-Party & Angel City FC Watch Party: Untamed Spirits (3715 Evans St), 5-8PM; 10% off all food/drink for tournament participants!

Tournament Format: Group stage play followed by knockout rounds

  • Games are 35 mins - 16 min halves with a 3 min halftime 

  • Points: Win + 3; Tie +1; Loss 0; Shutout +1; Goals For +1 (per goal up to 3 max) 

  • Pinnies will be provided if there is a jersey color conflict 

Food/Drink: Will be available for purchase (details to come) 

Spectators/Pets: Spectators and pets are allowed but MUST remain off the turf field at all times

All funds raised with this tournament will go to support our women’s/non-binary team for the 2026 Gay Games in Valencia!

  • Early Bird Team Registration (by April 8th): $650 per team 

  • Standard Team Registration (between Apr 9th- May 8th): $750 per team

6th Annual Desert Pride Cup

Get excited for our 6th anniversary of the Desert Pride Cup! This 1-day, all-gender 7v7 tournament featuring teams from all over the US has become a cornerstone of our club and our community and we are working to make it bigger and better than ever this year!

Early Bird Team (by 10/15): $900 per team.

Early Bird Free Agent (by 10/15): $90 per player.

Late Registration (between 10/15-10/31): $1020 per team.

Late Registration Free Agent (between 10/15-10/31): $120 per player.
